so far, This content Generation Strategy is What I Highly recommend. There’s nothing more Greater than a Content written by the real blog owner. The only downside of creating the content yourself is that it takes work and time.

2. Hire someone to do it for you

Bill gates became the richest man in the world and probably one of the most successful. But you know what? He couldn’t have done it without the help of his employees. The fact here is He didn’t became the richest man because he did it all alone. He hired someone for help! – this gave him the time to relax, sit all day and make lots of money while doing it.

Time is as important as money is. The more you hire someone do the work for you, the more time that you’ll save. you get to relax by hiring someone to do the work for you. The only downside of outsourcing is of course, it cost you money.

3. Ask Readers to Write For you

another cool way to Generate content is to ask for a Guest post. Readers Love it when they Get to write on their favorite blog. The only downside of accepting guest post is the post’s quality. Some Guest posters would submit junk content. That’s why it’s best to review the content first before you even accept a Guest post.

Myblogguest is a serviceable forum by anne smarty that’s aimed to finding bloggers who are interested to Guest blog and blog owners needing for new and unique Content for their blogs. Check the site out if you’re looking for guest posters.

4.Use an Auto blogging Software

WARNING: don’t use this strategy on your MAIN BLOG. Instead, I recommend you to create a new blog which is more focused on auto blogging. The Reason behind this is because Auto blogging softwares would just make your site look like a huge spam site.

WP robot is a wordpress plugin I recommend you use for your auto blogging needs. What auto blogging softwares does is it Scrapes up Content from other website’s RSS feed especially Article directories like articlesbase.com

which in return, will give the blog owner New but duplicate content – AUTOMATICALLY. There had been lots of success stories from people who uses autoblogging as one of their income source. When done correctly, Auto blogging may just become one of your best money maker. The only downside of this however is yes. Auto blogs look like Spam/scam/junk sites. :-)

5.PLR (private label rights) articles

another way to get content for a blog is by using PLR (private label rights) articles. You can find them anywhere. Heck. I’ll give you a whole bunch of them right now! (click here to download)

These are Articles that you can use anywhere and place your name as the author like on your blog. Ideally, I much prefer to use them when I’m submitting articles to the top article directories.

the downside of using PLR content is the Duplicate content case. Google Frowns when he sees a duplicate content. A good solution for this is to Re-write the articles or Hire someone to re-write the articles for you.

6.Trade articles with other blogs

look for one of your old posts and ask a blogger who blogs on the same niche like you and ask him to trade articles with you. It’s a win-win situation since both blogs would have new fresh content.

7. Re-publish your old posts

There’s a cool feature on wordpress where you have the ability to edit the post’s date. with that option, you can either choose to publish your article on the future or make one of your posts look older and certainly – Republish old articles.

To Republish one of your old articles, Just login to your wordpress dashboard>>>click on posts >>>> look for one of your old article >>> click edit>>> and on the post edit screen, you’ll be able to see the publish option menu:

Set the date on whatever date it is today or any future date you want the content to be published and… BOOM! New Content published. :-)

1. Be passionate about what you are / will be blogging about

blogging is not a job. blogging is a hobby and the reason why we do hobbies is because we enjoy doing it. no matter how profitable your blog niche could be – if you do not love what you are doing, there is a big chance that you will not stick to it. if you are going to blog about a topic, make sure that it’s something that you really like to talk about.

2. Get your own Domain name

while you can start a blog using free platforms like blogger.com, I would always recommend to get your own domain name(s). the reason for this is for the blog’s branding and flexibility. these are two core factors to look at if you really want to make lots of money from a blog.

the only downside of getting your own domain is it costs money. but luckily, there’s a cool Site named bluehost who gives out a FREE DOMAIN NAME FOREVER (just pay for hosting).

3. Have a Posting frequency! update your blog

one of the main benefits of having a blog is the ability of the blog owner to update his blog whenever he wants. Search engines loves website that’s frequently updating. one of the best advice I could give you is to decide how often you want to update your blog – have a posting frequency.

do you want to write a post once a week? twice a month? once a year? it’s your choice. ideally, I would suggest that you update your blog daily if you want to make the most out of your blog. doing this would also help to avoid ‘confusion’ of your blog readers.

4. Treat your blog like a regular business

like on any other regular business, we spend time and work hard to Market our products and get people to ‘buy’ from us which afterwards makes us money. The same Goes to blogging and owning a blog. in order for it to be successful, we need to learn how to ‘brand it’ market it heavily. Treat it like a regular business and not – “just a blog”

5. Monetize your blog with multiple sources

“do not put your eggs in one basket” is a very popular way to explain this. The more you monetize your blog, the bigger chance that you’ll make lots of money from it. Check out my recommended blog money maker list to see the different ways I monetize my site.

6. Be Friendly

“you will never make money online – ALONE.” this is one phrase that Has been stuck in my head for many months when I first started my blogging ventures. if you really want to make blogging profitable, you must also make it a habit to Build your connections and relationship with the people around your network. such as, making friends with other bloggers, Replying on comments and emails, Visiting other blogs and leaving a comment, retweet their posts, etc… there are lots of ways to do it.

7. Have basic HTML knowledge

a basic knowledge about HTML could get very handy at some point in your blogging career. you don’t have to be an “expert” in the topic but I would always recommend you to learn a ‘little’ from it. if you have no basic knowledge about html, w3schools.com is one site that I found to be the best source of information to learn html and different areas regarding web development.

8. Learn SEO

Search engines is one of the biggest traffic source of blogs. and I can’t imagine a blogger who is – blogging without any single knowledge about SEO. again, you don’t have to be an ‘expert’ I Just want you to Have basic knowledge about the topic.

Luckily, There is this SEO book (click here to download) which teaches you everything you need to know about Search engine optimization. the book is 100% free and it’s very Easy to understand. frankly, I almost felt like an ‘seo expert’ after reading the whole book. :-)

9. Get a mentor or a coach

Manny Pacquiao wouldn’t have been the pound 4 pound king if it wasn’t for Freddie roach and Michael Jordan wouldn’t have been the greatest basketball player of all time if he wasn’t inspired with Dr. J’s basketball moves. All Champions have mentors. I advice you to get one too.

10. Do not spend money like water

One of the biggest mistake you can make when your blog is already making money is the point where you Spend all your blog’s earnings and you’re left with $0. this is a  VERY wrong way to go. if you really want to make lot’s of money online (even offline) the First thing you need to do is to Learn how to budget your money – RESPONSIBLY. have a budget and know what you can and cannot afford.

11. Always make room for improvement

you are never too big to stop learning. you should always make room for growth. That’s why it’s also good to take certain classes like online courses and ebooks which would further improve your knowledge about what you are blogging about and most importantly – Internet marketing. but again, you should still take in consideration point 10 and know what you can and what you cannot afford.

12. Have Goals for your blog

success first comes with a goal. that’s why I advice you to list down some of the goals you would like your blog to achieve. ideally, it’s much better to set goals for your blog that’s easy to achieve or ‘doable’ at the moment. ie: 1,000 visitors per day, 1,000 subscribers, 5,000 twitter followers, 1 ad spot sold per month, etc.. (based on your blog’s level)

after you’ve achieve these ‘doable goals’ you can then higher them based on what you can do. Remember to always put a “time limit” to your goals. do you want to achieve these in 3 months time? by the end of the month? next year? you decide.

13. never give up

some times you’ll feel that your blog sucks. but if there is a will, there is a way. if there is no will, then certainly – there is no way. When you really want something in your life, the whole world conspires together with you to achieve that goal. When you Quit, You lose! – that’s the difference between winners and losers.

the same also applies to your blog.  when you lose your ‘will’ to achieve the goals, then certainly there’s no way your blog will ever be successful which brings us to point #14.

14. know when to Quit

My philosophy on quitting is very simple. if you don’t enjoy what you’re doing anymore… just quit!

if creating content for your blog just seems to be a lot like a job for you or if Checking your blog’s comments is not the first thing that you like to do in the morning… Just quit Blogging.

15. don’t be afraid to take risks

one thing that will make you stand out from all your competitors is the fact that you are willing to accept certain risk. taking risk is one thing that Most people especially in the real world are mostly afraid of. they are afraid to make mistakes – you shouldn’t. why? mistakes makes us stronger.

it is the mistake that makes us do the right thing. that’s why my advice for you is to LEARN from this mistakes like 32 year old Thomas Edison who made a thousand mistake before he could even invent the light bulb.

The same also applies to blogging. there will come a point when you’ll need to try out something new for your blog like experimenting on getting other traffic sources, advertising, Hiring someone for seo work, Creating a new ebook, Getting an Aweber account and Frankly, Stuffs that will make you LOSE MONEY.

things like these would definitely take your time and money. but when done properly, Certainly it will make you LOADS of money. Never be afraid to take risks and Try something new – Learn from your mistakes.

Two Methods to increase blog traffic

There are two methods to increase your blog traffic – Paid traffic and Free Traffic. both of them are good. however there’s a lot of difference between them.

1. The Paid Traffic Method – is probably the most easiest and sure fire way to go if you want to instantly increase your blog traffic. The only downside of paying for traffic is of course – it costs you money.

2. The Free Traffic Method – is what most blog owners use to increase their blog’s traffic. The best part about it is that it doesn’t costs you any money at all. The only downside of this is that of course, it costs you Time and would definitely require a little bit of hard work and effort in your part.

11 Ways to increase blog Traffic using the Paid Method

1. Advertise with Google – this one is a no-brainer. if you want targeted Traffic advertise with search engines! make it more even better by advertising on the most popular search engines of all – Google.

2. Advertise with Facebook – Facebook is exploding with traffic. some days, it even beats the traffic of Google. now, it Beats Google’s advertising by Giving advertisers more targeted traffic! what’s great about facebook’s advertising is that you can target people based on their age, Gender, interest and even target them on their birthdays! if you’re looking for a way to generate lots of REALLY targeted blog traffic, Facebook is the best way to go.

3. 8. Pay for SEO – search engine traffic is what every website needs. the higher you rank on Search engines, the more traffic you’ll get. The Easiest way to get High Rankings on search engines like google is by paying Someone to do the SEO work for you. it saves you time and a lot of hard work.

9. Make use of Redirects – Very easy. buy a domain name and create a 301 redirect to your blog. if you do this with a popular domain, it can also be an effective way to increase your blog traffic.

Comment on the latest posts on their blog. if they have the top commentators plugin installed, Make sure you get yourself as a top commentator. it’ll also help a lot if you’re the very first person to comment on one of their posts. – of course, Avoid comment spam.

5. Yahoo answers – sign up for yahoo answers and answer user’s question then add your blog’s url in the resource box. this is one of my best traffic source when I was just starting out.

7. Forum Posting – join webmasters forums or simply a forum that’s related to what you are blogging about. be helpful in the forums by answering user’s questions and sharing your expertise. add more traffic to your blog by adding your blog’s url in your forum signatures.

8. your Facebook and Twitter accounts – create a facebook fanpage and twitter account. build up your account by getting lot’s of people following you. if you have lot’s of followers already, one tweet could generate lots of traffic to your site.

9. Get on the frontpage of digg – people who gets on the front page of digg get’s over 100,000 people to their sites in a single day. if you’re looking for lots of free traffic, work your way up to the front page of digg.com by getting people to digg your articles.

one of the most common mistakes that websites and blog owners make is the fact that they don’t make an effort to capture their visitor’s email address. this is definitely a wrong move if you’re trying to heavily market your blog.

What you want is to keep visitors comming back to your site. and one way to do that is by Getting their email address. this is one thing that will not only help increase your blog’s traffic but this will also give you a huge advantage over your competion. 2. Chase after The best Traffic source for any website

There is no doubt that the given tips above are the best traffic source that you can use to increase your blog’s traffic. however, in my own personal opinion, there is no other traffic source that can be compared with Direct traffic.

Direct traffic are visitors who came to your site without first visiting a search engine, another site or using some marketing tactic. it’s the kind of traffic that gives you the ‘sign’ that visitors remember your site and quite frankly, this is the kind of traffic that I advice you to chase after. The trick on getting direct traffic is by far very Debatable. the easiest answer here is to – Get people remember your site.

Few ideas to get people to remember your site:

1. get an easy to remember domain. (or if you have a domain that’s not very ‘memorable’ you can still buy another one by adding redirects to it.)
2. get your blog name, logo, or anything that will describe your site included in all your projects like ebooks, videos, etc..
3. get a consistent flow of traffic to your site.

Conclusion:

increasing your blog’s traffic is easy. and there are lot’s of ways to do it. it’s important that you also take advantage of the traffic by capturing the visitor’s email address and chase after direct traffic by getting people to remember your blog.  by following the given tips above, you’ll surely will increase your blog’s traffic in no time.

Get a Google account

Google accounts is truly a god send for all internet marketers and bloggers. without this tool, the internet marketing lifestyle wouldn’t be so much easier. if you don’t have a google account yet, be sure to sign up for one.

here are the main reasons why you should sign up for a google account. Make sure you have these Google services installed in your google account:

1. Burn your feed with Feedburner

be sure you burn your blog’s RSS feed with feed burner. if you’re running a wordpress blog, your blog feed address by default is http://www.yourblogname.com/feed (change ‘yourblogname’ to the actual blog url.)

the reason why I’m telling you this is for feedburner. on the first time you’re going to sign up for a feedburner account, Feedburner will ask you about your blog-feed address. and that’s what you’re suppose to give to them.

2. Set up your Google Analytics account

Google analytics is by far the best web tracking tool available online and it’s probably one of my most favorite google products ever. it will track your site’s stats like the number of your website visitors, where your audience are from, your biggest traffic sources, top keywords that brings the most traffic to your site and quite frankly a whole lot of information regarding to the activity of your website.

Google analytics is not just a tracking tool. there are more Features in it that you should be able to discover by trying it out yourself. but if you’re just starting a blog, I don’t recommend you to focus in it too much. the reason behind this is because you can get addicted to checking out your blog’s stats too much and actually forgetting about your blog.

3. Gmail

Gmail is probably the best choice when it comes to Email accounts. it’s very easy to use! you can also promote more of your brand by creating a POP3 email account and integrating it with gmail.

4. webmaster tools

Google webmaster tools is mainly used by website owners for SEO purposes. Sign up on google’s webmaster tools, Add your website and Provide the xml sitemap of your site. (you can easily create an xml sitemap for your site by using a plugin called Google sitemap generator.)

you should also Set-up your Preferred domain using webmaster tools. I explained how to do it on one of my posts – “6 Seo tips to create a search engine friendly blog”

5. adsense (optional)

if you want to make money online, you might find your success on Pay-per-click sites like the infamous Google adsense.

if you haven’t heard about adsense – What this program does is that it places Contextual ads relevant to what you’re blogging about. you make money each time one of your visitors clicks on these ‘ads’. so, if you’re looking for an easy way to start making money by blogging, google adsense is probably the easiest way to start.

Create a Sitemap For your site

Creating a sitemap for a site is probably the hardest thing to do specially if your blog already has hundreds of posts. But thanks to two wordpress plugins, Creating a sitemap for your wordpress blog has never been so much easier.

to create a sitemap for your site, install these two Plugins on your blog, follow the rest of their instructions and you’ll be good to go. (install Google xml sitemap first)

Get a Paypal account

a paypal account is very important especially if you’re into making money online. Almost 80% of my online earnings are paid via paypal and 97% of the time, I make my purchases using paypal instead of my credit card. paypal in my opinion is by far the most Secure and easiest way to send or receive money online. and I just can’t imagine anyone trying to make money on the internet without having a single Verified paypal account.

Make your Blog Search engine friendly

Create Pages for your blog

while Frequently creating blog posts to your blog is crucial, you should also take in consideration adding these simple pages on your blog’s nav-bar. if you still have no idea how to do it, Check out this video. inside the video, I’ve talked about creating pages and navbar items using the ultimate blogging theme and wordpress menus. on your about page, write something about yourself, about the blog, and basically anything that describes you and your blog.

2. Contact Page

let your readers know that you’re accessible. on your contact page, Provide ways to let people contact you.

3. advertise page (optional)

very Important if you like to sell private advertising on your blog. an advertise page makes it easy for potential advertisers to buy advertising spots on your blog. you can also make selling ad-spots on your blog a whole lot easier by installing useful plugins like OIO publisher which automates the process.

Getting a Customized Logo design for your blog is just as important as using a WordPress premium theme. both of them plays a major part on a blog’s branding. if you’re one of those ‘gifted artists’ who can crop good looking images on photoshop, then it’s a good idea to create a logo design for your blog.

Just because the form is asking for a “website” doesn’t mean that you should have a “website” to type in there. you can still put any links you want in it like a link to your Facebook/multiply/friendster Profiles. to give you a more detailed explanation, here are some examples:

• Multiply:“http://www.eliepalima.multiply.com”
• Twitter: “http://www.twitter.com/elie_palima”

Why do this? – not only that it will make your comment look more “cool” but it will also Give other blog-commenter and the site’s admin a better chance to get to know you and connect with you. which is also one of the main point on blog commenting. every time you’re going to comment on a blog, remember to always type in a “website url” for each comment you make.

2. Get a Gravatar

Gravatar is an image that follows you from site to site appearing beside your name when you do things like comment or post on a blog.

When you first make a comment on this blog, and you still haven’t signed up for a Gravatar account yet(it’s free to sign up btw) your blog comment “avatar” on this site would most likely look like this:

However, if you’re already a Gravatar user, Your comments would most likely be lively by having your own photo/image as your avatar. This is a good thing especially when you’re promoting something like your website or product for example, Upload your own Photo and most likely People who’ll see your comment would most likely trust you since photos simply proves that “your human.” :-)

if you don’t have a gravatar account yet, I highly suggest you Sign up for one and upload your own photo or any image that will represent you. again, it’s 100% free and you’ll only need a valid email address to sign up.

3. People loves to hear your opinion. Give it to them!

The main point on adding a comment is all about letting other people know what you think by sharing your thoughts and opinion. Writing a simple Phrase like “wow. great post” is not enough and there’s also going to be a chance that your comment could be filtered as spam.
